News: Okpuala Amakohia Development Union in Amakohia Community Rains Awards of Honor/Recognition to her Illustrious Sons, Daughters, Friends and Outstanding Groups.

It was an Award/Special Recognition Ceremony in Okpuala Amakohia Ikeduru that later turned out to a carnival of encomiums and jubilation on Saturday 30th December, 2023 as all illustrious sons and daughters of Okpuala Amakohia Development Union and indeed all Amakohia sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora were specially recognized for their support in the development of Amakohia community. The highlight of the occasion was the award presentation and launching of development projects.

The  Amakohia President General, Mr. Goddie O Ukwu, in his Wisdom read an address welcoming all sons and daughters of  Amakohia and thanked them for love and confidence they have reposed on him. That love explains why his administration has recorded progress in areas of development within this short period.

Among the  awardees are Hon. Justice S.I Opara High Court of Justice Owerri Imo State, Mr. & Mrs. Ambrose Abiakam, Mr. & Mrs. Cajetan Ugwu, Mr. Louis Ejiofor (Oku Na'agba Ozara1) CEO Egwuatu Royal Foundation/Family, Mr. Raymond Unachukwu,  Dr. Abu Inu Umoru Chairman/CEO Setraco Nig. Limited (Ezigbo Enyi Ndi Amakohia)

Others include Hon. Daniel Ibe Iwuanyanwu, Mrs. Mmaezi Ugwuegbulam, Engr. B.A. Ariole, Ibe Vitalis Ndubuisi (Esq), Lady Chizoma Nwanyieze Opara, Mr.& Mrs. Paschal Daniel Ukachi,

The award presentation and special recognition ceremony also have the presence of the Traditional Ruler of  Amakohia, HRH Eze Innocent Alaribe (Oha 111 of Amakohia Community) and the wife Ugoeze Love Nwadiuto Alaribe and Chief Dr. Paul Nzerem Iwu, (The Traditional Prime Minister and Head of Traditional Cabinet).

Amakohia Bongo maker, Uche Bongo was live in his home town as he dishes out those his music lyrics and rhymes.

The occasion was a huge success and people who came from far and near were able to locate their homes back without any mishap, to the glory of God. Amakohia is moving forward.
