The good people of Okpuala Amakohia Community in Ikeduru East Local Government Area of Imo State, have cried out for help over a deadly ravaging Guly Erosion that have totally crippled economic activities in the community, leaving residents in pain and suffering amidst economic hardship. The most painful part of it is that there is no single passable road since over 15 years till date in the community, as the Ekeonummiri road that leads from Amakohia to Owubinubi down to Mbaise has totally been cut off, fixing this road will help to revive economic lives of the three communities. Sunday the 29th day of September, 2024 witnessed a scintillating and mind thrilling Friendly Match between the Staff of Versatile Consolidated Industries, Owerri (VCI) The makers of quality sachet nylon for water , bread, bottle water, label tissue, serviette etc, and the Youth of St. Mathew's Catholic Church Umunam in Imerienwe, Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State. The match started at around 4:pm at Umunam football field, and the Parish Priest of St. Mathew's Catholic Church Rev. Fr. Ugochukwu Agubata Opara was live to cheer his side to victory.
