It was an Award/Special Recognition Ceremony in Okpuala Amakohia Ikeduru that later turned out to a carnival of encomiums and jubilation on Saturday 30th December, 2023 as all illustrious sons and daughters of Okpuala Amakohia Development Union and indeed all Amakohia sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora were specially recognized for their support in the development of Amakohia community. The highlight of the occasion was the award presentation and launching of development projects. The  Amakohia President General, Mr. Goddie O Ukwu, in his Wisdom read an address welcoming all sons and daughters of  Amakohia and thanked them for love and confidence they have reposed on him. BREAKING: Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu passes on at 67

According to reports, it is a sad moment in Ondo state as the sitting governor  Akeredolu died in Lagos on Wednesday after a protracted illness. It was learnt that he was managed by State House doctors up to his death because they could not fly him abroad. “Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos,” a reliable source told our news source IkembaNews “They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week.” Background: Akeredolu experienced health issues after seeking medical treatment abroad in June. Although he returned to Nigeria in September, he remained in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.  Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that Nigeria is more divided than it has ever been after the 2023 general elections and called for national reconciliation to assuaged the aggrieved and the youths for national peace and cohesion.
